HR Generalist

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing day-to-day human resources activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate should be proactive, people-centric, and have strong knowledge of HR best practices and labour laws.

Note: Must be able to converse in Hindi fluently

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Conduct background verification and reference checks.
- Facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new hires to ensure a seamless transition into the company.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to improve employee retention.
- Assist in resolving workplace disputes and disciplinary actions.

3. Performance Management & Training:
- Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and feedback mechanisms.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
- Support managers in developing performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.

4. HR Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook.
- Handle HR audits and documentation to ensure legal and procedural compliance.

5. Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Assist in processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and handling payroll queries.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leaves, and provident fund schemes.
- Maintain accurate records related to employee attendance, leaves, and compensation.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software, G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience: 5 to 8 Years
Location: Thaiyur, Pudupakkam, Chennai.
