Certification Engineer - Products

The Certification Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role requires a detailed understanding of certification processes, testing protocols, and documentation to guarantee products are designed and manufactured according to applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:
 Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation required for type certification of UAVs in accordance with Indian drone rules and CSUAS scheme.
 Collaborate with design, engineering, and regulatory teams to gather necessary information for documentation.
 Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards and guidelines.
 Prepare and submit documentation packages for type certification to relevant authorities.
 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in UAV regulations and ensure compliance in all documentation.
 Provide technical writing support for manuals, reports, and other documentation related to UAV design, testing, and certification.
 Review and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
 Assist in developing internal documentation standards and templates.
 Analysing the flight logs
 Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of documentation tasks.

Qualifications:
 Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in UAV and 2+ years in UAV certification processes.
 Strong knowledge of Indian drone rules and the CSUAS scheme.
 Proficiency in Design, CFD, Structure, Avionics, Electrical and Electronics related to UAVs.
 Experience with hybrid UAV technology is highly desirable.
 Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
 Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
 Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications.

Preferred Skills:
 Familiarity with regulatory bodies and certification processes specific to UAVs.
 Experience in creating and managing documentation for complex engineering projects.
 Understanding of UAV testing and validation procedures.
 Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in the UAV industry.
