Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Project Management/Engineering) preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in Project/Program Management with at least 5 years in the aerospace domain.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary R&D or product development projects, preferably involving prototyping and regulatory compliance.
PMP certification is mandatory; Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards, DGCA CAR, and other aerospace industry regulations.
Experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performance project teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and lead the PMO to drive project governance, standardization, and best practices across all departments.
Develop and implement project management frameworks/Annual Operating Plan (AOP) based on PMI and Agile principles, tailored to the aerospace product lifecycle.
Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle—planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
Ensure regulatory compliance with DGCA, AS9100 standards, and other applicable aerospace and aviation regulations.
Collaborate with engineering, design, certification, manufacturing, and business teams to align project goals and timelines.
Monitor and report on project progress to executive leadership, highlighting risks, dependencies, and critical milestones.
Lead cross-functional teams and provide strategic direction to ensure program and business success.
Evaluate and implement project management tools and platforms to increase efficiency and transparency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and innovation.
Preferred Attributes:
Exposure to Urban Air Mobility, electric aircraft, drones, or VTOL technologies.
Hands-on experience with project management software like MS Project, Jira etc
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly regulated environment.
