Incubated out of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, The ePlane Company was founded by Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, with a vision to make electric aircrafts reality. The ePlane Co. is the first private electric aircraft company which holds Design Organisation approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India to design electric aircrafts.

Role Requirements:
Prepare, review and obtain approvals of SOP, detailed work instructions, visual aids, procedures, PFMEAs, and that meet design, process, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
Hands-on experience on advanced composite manufacturing processes along with knowledge of core processing techniques, etc.
Analyze engineering drawings and specifications in support of Design, development, and manufacturing robust and advanced parts.
Drive to ensure that the work is allocated to the manufacturing team with technical inputs, safety, on-time with necessary documentation & ensure within the budget of the project.
Knowledge in preparation of EBOM, MBOM, Detail part BOM, Raw material BOM etc
Should have participated in RCCA activities
Knowledge and understanding of relevant composite material testing are advantageous.
Creation of work instructions for end-to-end composite component manufacturing & assembly.
Good Knowledge in GD&T with Catia V5/SolidWorks.
A complete understanding of aircraft structures.
Should have good tooling knowledge for parts assembly and documentation related to it.
Interface with all of the related support groups for processes to ensure accuracy, control, and safety of the personnel and quality of the hardware.
Perform investigations of nonconforming hardware and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Present fabrication processes at customer readiness reviews and present process change to customers at change board meetings.
Knowledge on Wet layup & Prepreg moulding processes is mandatory.
Compression molding with rubber, molding compounds, and/or Prepreg is strongly desired.
Good Knowledge of the Quality System of Aerospace, Défense, and Space on implementation of AS9100 D and NADCAP work Procedure and documentation.
Desired Skills:
Must have at least 2 years' experience within the Composites manufacturing industry.
Must have a good understanding of various Composites manufacturing processes and equipment used such as Compression molding, Resin transfer molding, Hand layup, Prepreging, assembly etc.
Knowledge on various bonding techniques between similar & dissimilar materials interfaces such as Metals-Composites.
Should be familiar with raw materials qualification standards (ASTM/BS/IS etc) for metallics and Composites.
Must know in-process and final quality acceptance of composite hardware realized through hand layup, and other processes, both through conventional and NDT techniques.
Ability to act quickly on fluctuating demands and coordinate well with internal teams for closure and be responsible for the manufacturing of the Hardware.
Qualifications :
Should hold an engineering degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience dedicatedly into Methods
Or
Should hold a diploma/ AME in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with at least 6 years of experience dedicatedly into Methods
